Raised in Texas, Dr. “V” is a clinical neuropsychologist specializing in the assessment and diagnoses of cognitive disorders. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU). She went on to complete both her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology – Washington, D.C., graduating with honors. As part of her doctoral training, Dr. “V” completed an APA-accredited internship at the VA North Texas Health Care System, with an emphasis in neuropsychology. Following her doctorate, she pursued advanced training through a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the Washington D.C. VA Medical Center, where she gained further extensive experience in evaluating complex neurological, medical, and psychiatric conditions.
Dr. “V” has worked with individuals affected by:
- Alzheimer’s disease (AD)
- Parkinson’s disease (PD)
- Lewy Body dementia (LBD)
- Frontotemporal dementia (FTD)
- Vascular dementia and stroke-related cognitive changes
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
- And other medical or age-related cognitive disorders
She assists families in understanding what cognitive changes mean, possible causes of cognitive change, and how to improve quality of life through accurate diagnoses and compassionate care.
